Distraught fans of Nigeria have harshly slammed the Super Eagles following their disappointing defeat to Benin Republic at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny stadium in Ivory Coast.
Gernot Rohr's side came from behind to beat the Super Eagles 2-1 after Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika gave Nigeria the lead in the 27th minute.
The Super Eagles have managed just 3 points out of a possible 12 after four matches in the qualifiers. The three-time African champions are currently languishing in 5th place in Group C.
Angry fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to lash out at the team upon their return to the country, as reported by the team's official handle.

No player of that useless 1994 squad should ever become coach again.
Useless NFF.
EVEN SMALL GHANA WON THEIR MATCH.
