Representative Isa Dogonyaro, who served the Garki/Babura federal constituency of Jigawa State, has passed away at the age of 46.

His colleague, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, announced his death on Facebook this Friday morning, May 10, 2024, with a heartfelt tribute.

"Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. Today, we mourn the loss of a respected colleague, a commendable parliamentarian, and a genuinely good person. May Allah SWT bestow His mercy upon him and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus," El-Rufai wrote.

Deputy House Spokesperson, Phillip Agbese, confirmed the lawmaker’s death in an interview with Daily Trust. He mentioned that he learnt about Dogonyaro's passing through social media and internal House communication channels.

Agbese stated that the House is awaiting an official announcement from the family. However, funeral prayers have been scheduled for Friday afternoon in Abuja.
