GlaxoSmithKline: Peter Obi is a desperado, lying to revive his 2027 presidential ambition - Omokri

Reno Omokri, former presidential aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has said that that Peter Obi, the Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate lied on the reason British multinational pharmaceutical, GlaxoSmithKline left Nigeria.

In August, GlaxoSmithKline announced plans to discontinue operations in Nigeria, ending its 51 years of service in the country.

The pharmaceutical giant is best known for their famous brands such as Paracetamol and Sensodyne.

Peter Obi reacting to the situation, blamed the poor economic management as the reason behind GlaxoSmithKline leaving the country.

In reaction, Omokri slammed the former Governor of Anambra State, describing him as a liar.

According to him, Obi is lying to incite the public and revive his 2027 Presidential ambition.

Explaining his version of events, Omokri wrote on X;

"Peter Obi lied that GlaxoSmithKline left Nigeria because of poor economic management. Please fact-check me. Before leaving Nigeria, GlaxoSmithKline left India in November 2022. India has one of the best economic management teams on Earth. Next, GlaxoSmithKline left Kenya in October of 2022. Kenya is on a sound financial footing. Finally, they announced their pullout from Nigeria this year at about the same time Standard and Poor rated Nigeria's economy a high stable B rating.

These pullouts are part of GlaxoSmithKline's global strategy. They had nothing to do with the management of Nigeria's economy. The global supply chain crisis, coupled with the antics of some unpatriotic Nigerians who import fake and substandard products, has made it more profitable for them to manufacture in England and export to Nigeria, India and Kenya. But do not expect Arise Peoples Party to inform you of this truths.
