No Osun official attended Davido's children's naming ceremony — Commissioner

The Osun State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi has insisted that no state government official attended the naming ceremony of the children of popular singer Davido.

Alimi, who clarified a statement issued to journalists on Monday in Osogbo, said there were no official delegations to any social event in the United States.

He advised opposition activists to stick to constructive criticism with accurate fact-checking instead of peddling false information around the state.

"Those behind the conjectures are to be educated that no naming ceremony took place for the new David Adeleke's twins.

"Let's further enlighten them that babies are usually named before leaving the hospital in the United States of America so that birth certificates can be issued," Alimi said.

According to him, the governor on vacation ensures coordinated focus and constant networking within government establishment for the delivery of services, programmes and projects.
