'Dis food sweet well well!' - British envoy shows off his favourite Nigerian snack kilishi

The former British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dominic Williams has got many Nigerians talking after showing off the kilishi he got from Nigeria.

Excited by the gift, the former British envoy took to social media to express his gratitude to his friends who gifted him one of his favourite delicacies from Nigeria.

On his X page, (formerly Twitter), Dominic William thrilled by the Nigerian staple described it as "proper stuff", he also hinted at the deliciousness of the delicacy.

Showing a photo of the food; he wrote;

"My friends Paul and Rex recently visited Nigeria and asked if they could bring me anything. So of course I asked for Kilishi - and they delivered!

The proper stuff - fiery and wrapped in newspaper. Dis food sweet well well! Thank you Paul, Rex and Naija."

Kilishi is a spicy Nigerian beef jerky. It is a popular snack from Northern Nigeria and a dried form of Suya made from cow, sheep or goat meat.

Some Nigerians took to his comment section to applaud him for his choice and urged him to have a chilled bottle of water close to him as the meat is spicy (hot).

He, in response admitted to the hotness and said he had enough water to enjoy the meat.
