CAF has put forward the names of the elite proponents of women's football. The continental governing body will host their annual awards in December and will have seven categories dedicated to the women's game.

The Women's Player of the Year and the Women's Coach of the Year are the standout individual awards, while team awards will also be handed out to both national teams and clubs.

CAF has released a preliminary nominees list containing 30 names for the Women's Player of the Year award.

On it are seven Nigerians, six South Africans, and five Moroccans. Zambia and Malawi were nations that also had more than one nominee.

CAF will also present a Goalkeeper of the Year award for the first time this year, with Morrocco and South Africa each having two candidates from the list of 10.

The Interclub Player of the Year award will go to the best player who plays their club football on the African continent but also represents their country.

The Young Player of the Year will be awarded to the best under-21 player on the continent, with 10 women making the cut.

Coaches from clubs and national teams will be eligible for the Coach of the Year award, with a 50-50 split among the 10 nominees.

A list of 10 national teams have made the shortlist for National Team of the Year while eight clubs feature on that respective list.
