Arise Television co-anchor, Rufai Oseni during the Morning Show, congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court.

He said; “Congratulations to President Tinubu, the Supreme Court has affirmed him.”

On Thursday, October 26, the Supreme Court upheld the Tribunal's verdict declaring Tinubu the President of Nigeria.

Oseni who is known as a fierce critic of the Tinubu-led administration called on Nigerians not to relent in their pursuit for a better Nigeria.

According to him, the road to nationhood is not easy as there would be stumbling blocks, however, they should gear up and engage in the electoral processes to develop their country.

The award-winning journalist on Friday, October 27, gave Nigerians some lessons to take away from the Supreme Court ruling.

He said; “INEC will have to watch itself, to prove itself more accountable, to really abide by the things it said it would do.

"Secondly Nigerian, you cannot afford to give up on your electoral process and on your country.

"Truth as to be told. The road to nationhood is not an easy walk in the park. You’ll have pitfalls, you’ll have false start but you need to keep pushing and part of the pushing is gear up for your electoral processes. There are a lot of by elections coming up. Participate as much as possible in these elections and ensure that you keep doing everything to develop your country. You can’t leave your country to chance. God bless Nigeria.”

Reuben Abati, co-anchor of the Arise TV Morning Show on his part cautioned the ruling government saying the campaign season is over and it is time for governance.

"Campaign is over, it is now time for governance and that governance we cannot leave it to President Tinubu and his team alone. All of is are going to be involved in it. The PDP, the Labour Party, all the other parties, having lost at the highest court in the land to go ahead and congratulate President Tinubu as we have congratulated him this morning on his victory.

They should act after the faction of gentlemen and spokesmen and then also go ahead to provide opportunities for collaboration in the national interest.

President Tinubu himself should be magnanimous in victory. Being magnanimous means reaching out to everybody across party lines to see how all of us can focus on this process of governing Nigeria because there are very serious issues, particularly about the economy," Abati stated.
