Cameroonian fans were recently seen paying tribute to the late Nigerian artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in a video that went viral on social media,Soccernet.ng reports.

In the video, the Cameroonian fans were singing the lyrics of a song titled “Ronaldo,” dedicated by the artist to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.

This heartwarming gesture highlights how music continues to bridge the gap between football and fans, showcasing the respect and admiration for the young artist beyond Nigeria’s borders.

Mohbad’s untimely passing at the age of 27 shocked Nigerians, leading to various rumours surrounding the cause of his death.

Some reports suggested suicide, while others speculated the involvement of his former record label, Marlian Music, in his tragic demise.

However, it is worth noting that the Nigerian Police Force is actively investigating the circumstances of his death and seeking those responsible.

Beyond this tragedy, Nigerian music continues to unite football fans in stadiums, with artists like Burnaboy, Davido, and even Dbanj performing in these arenas.

Also, songs by Nigerian artists like Rhema and a host of others, have also become anthems in many stadiums.
