Mohbad: 'Where is Peter Obi, GRV' - Reno Omokri jabs Labour Party chieftains; hails Sanwo-Olu

Reno Omokri, a leading member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his handling of the recent demise of the late singer, Mohbad.

This follows the inauguration of a 13-man special investigation team to probe the mysterious death of Mohbad by the Lagos State Police Command.

The singer, a former signee of Marlian Records owned by Azeez Faashola, popularly known as Naira Marley reportedly died on Tuesday, September 12 at the age of 27.

He took a swipe at Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) and the Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivor, the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the state in a tweet on his X (formerly called a Twitter account).

He said: "No matter what you say about Governor Sanwoolu, at least he is working with the Lagos State Police Command to get justice for MohBad. His office and staff are facilitating the investigation."

He continued: "Where is Gbadebo Rhodes Vivor in all of these? If a dog had given birth to puppies during the campaign period, GRV and Peter Obi would have gone there with prominent Obidients to celebrate with the dog. Did they not visit Akere Spare Parts Market and donate money to victims? Did GRV not visit hospitals? Did he not go to churches to shake hands and smile? But now that Mohbad needs them, where are they? Election na your mate?"
