Anxiety as Chicago State University set to release Tinubu's credentials

The official Twitter page of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has announced that the Chicago State University in the United States is ready to release President Bola Tinubu’s credentials while he was a student of the institution.

The tweet dated Thursday, August 24, stated that the varsity has agreed to make available Tinubu’s credentials which will also be presented to the tribunal in a bid to back their petition.

In a bid to challenge President Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election, Atiku Abubakar who came second in the polls as declared by the Independence National Electoral Commission, INEC, approached a US court to compel the varsity to release an acceptance letter, attendance and other related document of the President's undergraduate days in the school.

However, PDP in a tweet announced that the institution has agreed to make the documents available although it maintains that President Tinubu is a Chicago State University graduate.

The tweet reads;

"This is now official. The Chicago State University in the United States of America, in response to the application filed by the @OfficialPDPNig and its Presidential Candidate in the February 25, 2023 Election, @Atiku, has agreed to release the credentials of Bola A. Tinubu.

"Nigerians and members of the international community are eagerly waiting for this information as this will form greater part of the decision-making process of the petition before the court."
