Photo of President Tinubu's ADC seating instead of standing causes stir

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his ADC President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his ADC

A viral photo of President Bola Tinubu's aide-de-camp (ADC)seating instead of standing has brought about mixed reactions from Nigerians.

In the photo, the ADC was captured comfortably seated while President Tinubu was attending a meeting.

This raised concerns as to whether or not the ADC was supposed to seat or stand behind the President.

Reacting to the controversy surrounding the photo, Reno Omokri slammed persons complaining about the photo.

In his post, he asked why people will demand to always see the ADC standing when other Presidents such as Biden or Prime Minister Rishi Sunak are rarely seen with their ADCs.

He stated that people should be more concerned about the economy standing and not the ADC.

"Some Nigerians are complaining bitterly about this photo because President Bola Tinubu's ADC is seated when he is meant to be standing. My response to them is this: What did the Presidents whose ADC were always standing do? Did we not waste eight unproductive locust years with Buhari and his ever-standing ADC? Na ADC we go chop? I am not interested in all of those hangovers of the colonial era. How many times have you seen an ADC standing behind President Biden or Prime Minister Rishi Sunak? As long as the President is performing, he can even get rid of the position of ADC for all I care! Understand that it is the economy that should stand, not the ADC!" Omokri tweeted.

Others said;

Atte: It’s not even constitutional for an ADC to stand, if the president is standing the he obviously has to stand or stand behind him even while reading a speech…..

Amsterdam: Well I will say one thing, if Peter Obi’s ADC did this we would all credit it to PO’s simple,humble and considerate nature. Let’s quit the double standard

Akaninyene Udoh: ADC means Aid De Camp. That's aid in the camp. It means and assistance or messenger in the camp to the commander of a troop while in the camp or during operations. That's how force understand it. He can sit or stand depending on the circumstances and on the order of his principal

Oloruntoba Ifetoye: Ethically it might not be right for the ADC to seat while when he's on duty, but to me that's one of President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's ways of getting the job done...as long as we're getting results, ADC can take a nap while on duty.

Ifeomachi: He is on duty fgs. He was trained and taught some work ethics, being on uniform deprive you certain things until you remove it.
We need to recognise when something is not done the right way, sentiments aside.
That is why 'we are where we are today'

PISCES FEB 27th: Na everything we Nigerians they count shey na ADC standing or sitting be our problem if he like make he Dey middle of the air as long as the president is doing the right thing. It might even be the president that tells him to sit down. He’s also a human being now.
