Following the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as the 16th president of Nigeria on Monday, May 29, some Nigerians living in Ghana have shared their expectations of Tinubu and his administration.

The people expressed their disapproval and lack of hope in the new president in an interview with MyNigeria.

Some of them averred that although they had high expectations for the former president Muhammadu Buhari and his administration, he failed to improve the nation.

One said: "I'm not expecting anything from him because the person that handed over power to him left the country as he saw it and even worse so I don't expect anything from Tinubu because he is not going to do miracle in Nigeria(SIC)."

Another opined that the Nigeria's government system is full of "old men" who have exhausted their physical and mental skills since they have been in power for a period of time.

He remarked that the country needs the younger generation who have fresh ideas, strength and skills to build the country.

According to some, the president cannot change the nation on his own; rather, he will be able to create a better Nigeria when those around him come up with innovative ideas and produce sound legislation that will advance the nation.

On their thoughts about Buhari's administration, they stated their discontent about the misappropriations and atrocities that transpired throughout his reign.

While many people have little faith in Tinubu's ability to advance the nation, others have pleaded with him to give the nation social amenities like high-quality education, healthcare, employment, and security, among others.
