Bukayo Saka visits Nigeria

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has arrived in Nigeria barely a week after the English Premier League officially came to an end.

The 21-year-old was spotted touching down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Wednesday, May 31 as he pays a visit to the country of his ancestry.

Even though the purpose of his visit remains undisclosed, it is believed that the youngster wants to visit his extended family and connect with his roots.

Saka was born in London to Nigerian parents in West London.

The England international had a phenomenal season with the Gunners this season in their quest to win the Premier League which proved abortive.

Saka managed 14 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League this season, helping Mikel Arteta's side to finish as runners-up behind Manchester City.

His remarkable performance earned him a new long-term contract with Arsenal keeping him at the club until 2027.
