Cult initiation happening in Delta schools - Activist raises alarm

Human right activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, has raised concerns over a cult initiation happening in some secondary schools in Delta state.

On Wednesday, May 24, the Delta State-based activist, shared videos of some students who are said to be baring the mark of the cult known as the ‘snake bite’.

More checks by Harrison reveals that more students bare the mark on the back of their hands.

According to his findings, the mark is derived by the use of a piece of paper which is rubbed continuously on the hand until blood appears.

These students are then asked to spread the act unto other students. The school children are said to be between the ages of 11 and above.

Taking to his social media page, Harrison Gwamnishu wrote;

“Check your child if she or he has this mark, If YES, It's a mark of initiation into cultism. The mark is called a ‘SNAKE BITE’. Check your children NOW!

“IT'S HAPPENING IN SCHOOLS. This is happening already in some Secondary Schools in Asaba, Delta State. As we conclude findings, we will drop the video on the initiation process.”

“Currently at the Ministry of Education Asaba to tender our findings and report officially. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILDREN.”
