Some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) paid a visit to President-elect Bola Tinubu ahead of the May 29 inauguration.

National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and other party leaders including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Tuesday paid a visit to him.

Others who visited Tinubu who arrived in the country on Monday from France were the Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Senator Barau Jibrin.

The list also included Senator Olamilekan Adeola, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Hon. James Faleke.

Adamu, who like Tinubu had been out of the country for about two weeks had resumed at the national secretariat of the party on Tuesday where he spent barely an hour before leaving for Tinubu’s house in the highbrow Asokoro, Vanguard reports.

The chairman resumed a day to the expiration of the seven days ultimatum issued to him last week by the National Vice Chairman, North-west of the party, Salihu Moh. Lukman threatened to drag him to court if he refuses to convene a meeting of the National Executive Committee NEC of the party.

While details of the visit were still sketchy on Tuesday night, Akpabio told reporters that his records will earn him the Senate Presidency.

The Adamu-led National Working Committee NWC has not come up with a zoning template for National Assembly leadership positions, but with Tinubu’s arrival, party leaders are expected to sit with him and come up with a template.
