Nigerian midfielder James Igbekeme, who joined Wisła Kraków during the winter transfer window, has given his evaluation of his stay in Poland so far.

The 27-year-old revealed that he has no problem with acclimatizing to the team, but he is struggling with the ever-changing weather.

In a recent interview with Goal Poland, Igbekeme spoke about his past, his experience in the United States, and his thoughts on playing in Poland.

Igbekeme admitted that before moving to Wisła, he did some research about the club and Polish football but did not know much. He also praised the level of football in the MLS, stating that it is at a comparable level with the Polish first league or Liga.

However, he recommends Poland as a place where players can express themselves on the pitch.

When asked to characterize Coach Sobolewski in one sentence, Igbekeme said that the manager gives the players the freedom to express themselves on the pitch, which is essential for him. He also praised the Wisła fans, describing them as wonderful and saying that he wishes they could play every match in Krakow.

Regarding his playing style, Igbekeme described himself as a box-to-box midfielder who gets involved in both defense and attack. He also spoke about his experience playing in Portugal, Spain, and the United States, stating that he feels good in Poland because he can do what he loves.

Despite the positive comments, Igbekeme did voice his dislike for the weather in Poland, which changes often and can be hard to get used to. However, he stated that Krakow is a pleasant city and a good place for him.

In conclusion, James Igbekeme’s stay in Poland has been positive, with the Nigerian midfielder praising the atmosphere at Wisła Kraków and recommending Poland as a place where players can express themselves on the pitch. However, the ever-changing weather has been a challenge for him.
