President-elect Bola Tinubu returns to Nigeria today

President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria today, April 24.

This was announced by the Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga on Monday.

In a Twitter post, Onanuga said that president-elect will make his return ahead of the inauguration on May 29.

Report indicates that Tinubu's plane will land at the presidential wing of the Abuja airport and will be escorted by a motorcade to the Defence House.

Recall that Tinubu left the country to France on March 21, to rest and plan his transition programme after the election.

The statement said;

“The president-elect had left the country through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja. According to the statement, the president-elect decided to take a break after the hectic campaign and election season to rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting."

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had dissolved it presidential campaign council.
