President Muhammadu Buhari will be leaving Nigeria for Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, April 11, on an official visit to the emirate country and will be there till April 19.

Garba Shehu, the spokesperson to the president, disclosed this in a statement released on Monday, April 10, Premium Times reported.

The statement reads in part: “Last trip to the Kingdom as President, during which he will perform Umrah, the Lesser Pilgrimage.”

He added that the president would be accompanied by his aide. President Buhari's second term tenure expires on May 29 as the president of Nigeria.

The 8 days journey of the President to the Arab Kingdom was meant for Buhuri to perform the lesser hajj, which is often associated with the month of Ramadan. Buhari's visit to Saudi Arabia would be his sixth and last visit to the kingdom when he assumed office in 2015.

President Buhari was first elected as civilian president and 2015, and he has frequently visited no less than 40 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, the United States, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

The president, on 5 different occasions, had visited Ethiopia and travelled to Ghana, Senegal, United Arab Emirates and Niger. He also had, at least twice, visited Germany, The Gambia, Mali, Chima, Egypt, Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya and Chad.

The cleric was said to have predicted that Buhari would emerge the winner of the 2015 presidential election. But the reappearing video has continued to generate reactions on social media, with many Nigerians urging the government to regulate religion in the country.
