Popular motivational speaker in tears, recalls fond memories of her husband who died of cancer in 2005

Sarah Omakwu, a Senior Pastor at Family Worship Centre in Abuja has shared some fond memories of her husband, Pastor Inalegwu Omakwu who died of cancer in 2005.

Mrs. Sarah who is also a motivational speaker was preaching on the need for couples to live in total submission to one another when she used examples of her late husband's selflessness to buttress her point.

In excerpts of the video that has since gone viral, she said: "He was a servant of God. It was just two of us and the pastor in the US at the time and he did everything with joy. He did it whistling, washing the toilet, vacuuming, washing the ground, and cooking. When I had Blessing, It was only two of us in the room and he held her more than me. At night, he will bring her cot to his side to make sure she breathing so I can sleep."

"He continued until we came to Abuja. On Saturdays Pastor will cook for us, cut oranges, do eggs, and serve them on the table for us to come and eat. He will pack his plates to the kitchen. Pastor always ate and took his plate to the kitchen. Pastor fixed our bed, cleaned until he died."

Pastor Inalegwu Omakwu who was fondly called Pastor Ina died on Tuesday, February 25, 2005 at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, United States of America. He had been battling brain cancer for three years before his demise.

According to some close associates of Pastor Ina, he surviving for three years after being diagnosed with cancer was a miracle.

The doctors told him he would not live another six to eight weeks. But not only did he live, but he also continued to preach the Gospel and win thousands for Christ.

They noted that the first signs of cancer started in 2002.
