The Spokesperson for Peter Obi of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, Kenneth Okonkwo has called out Minister of State for Labour Festus Keyamo over his attempt to accuse the Labour Party of vote rigging.

Recall that Keyamo in a now-deleted tweet attempted to cast aspersions on the claims of electoral injustice that the Labour Party has submitted before the presidential election petition tribunal.

“This is the political Party saying only their figures were accurate but other political Parties rigged. It is the barefaced lies & audacity with which they carry on their propaganda that is very befuddling! They will soon discover the difference b/w propaganda & judicial analyses,” he captioned the video.

The video Mr Keyamo posted was from a series of voter education programs that are usually organized by the government, civil society, and political parties alike during election seasons.

Adding his voice to the conversation, Okonkwo opined that Keyamo's statement was a flat lie. He made this in an interview on Saturday, March 25.

He also noted that the APC's attempt to create a situation where there was voter suppression in the eastern part of the country was false. He later dared them to provide proof of their allegation.

"Festus Keyamo’s statement is flat lie. Like Niyi has just come here to lie. He said Enugu and Anambra but he didn’t mention one example. MC Oluomo told anyone who doesn’t vote for the APC not to come to the polling unit and he fulfilled the threat."

"In Lagos, a lady was blinded and she went back to vote and Igbos were told not to come out in Lagos, openly, it is there."

"I am from Enugu, I voted there, let him cite one or two specific incidents."
