Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State says his people are with him and he has more goodies lined up for them. His government, he says, is not owing anyone and has paid all debts.

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke described the verdict of the Appeal Court affirming his election as a vindication by God.

Adeleke welcomed the judgement after the appellate court sitting in Abuja on Friday, March 24, set aside the decision of the Osun State Governorship Tribunal and declared him as the governor of the state.

Speaking in an interview with Channels Television’s Politics Today, Adeleke said; “I just have to thank God because I believe that God has vindicated me by the July 16 election that my people in Osun State voted for me massively”.

On the decision of the tribunal, Adeleke said it was a miscarriage of justice, and the appeal court has rectified the wrongs.

“I have to thank the Osun people for their massive support. I dedicate this victory to God and to the Osun people,” Adeleke said.

He advised the immediate governor, Gboyega Oyetola to “move forward” following plans of the defeated candidate to head to the Supreme Court.

He said, “Democracy is at play here. If they feel that they should go to the Supreme Court, so be it. But I believe that we should just move forward and make sure that Osun people grow from strength to strength.

“But if they feel that they should go to the Supreme Court, we shall meet at the Supreme Court."
