Following the outcome of the 2023 Nigerian presidential election held on February 25, some Nigerians have expressed their displeasure at conduct and process of the just concluded polls.

Two Nigerian men in the diaspora have shared a video of themselves tearing their Nigerian passport while lamenting the poor conduct of the election.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission on March 1, declared Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress the winner of the presidential election.

The election according to reports was marred with violence, disruption among other, which led to the opposition parties rejecting the results as they head to court to contest the process.

In a video, a Nigerian who claims to be married to a Yoruba woman said Nigeria has failed the citizens.

According to him, he was hoping Peter Obi will win the election not because of his tribe but because of what he has to offer to Nigerians as he went ahead to rip his passport to shreds.

He stated "I never intended for Peter Obi to be the leader of Nigeria because he is Igbo but I wanted him to be the president because of what he has to offer and for that reason, because of what has transpired in this last election, from today, I refuse to be associated with anything regarding Nigeria."

Another man noted that he voted for Peter Obi based on his capabilities and not his tribe but his vote didn't count.
