Veteran musician and a member of the advisory board of the Labour Party in Lagos, Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli has disclosed how he used his dogs to chase thugs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who attempted to hijack his polling unit.

Violence hit parts of Lagos during Saturday's Governorship and State House of Assembly elections with one person feared dead and many injured.

The unidentified man, suspected to be a thug, was said to have been shot dead by a policeman after he allegedly snatched ballot papers at Star time Estate, Jamtok Ago Palace Way.

Hoodlums also destroyed ballot papers and boxes in the Fadeyi, Ijegun Ajegunle, Oojo, Oke Afa and Ajah areas of the state.

Narrating the ordeal and how he successfully cordon off the area, he said: "On my street, I was called out Tee Mac come out. They said in the next street, there beating people up and destroying the booth. I have a lot of dogs, I love dogs. So I took two boys with eight dogs - big ones and rushed down the next street. And they all scattered when I got there.

"About 30-40 agberos ran away when they saw me while they threw bottles at us. One of my cut his cheeks and head and we chased them to Taiwo street and into the swamp area."

An eyewitness, Efe said, “The deceased guy and some of his colleagues arrived at the polling booth inside the estate very early.”
