The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) will bank his hopes on the goodwill Lagosians have for the party as they prepare for the March 18 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

The 40-year-old who many have regarded as inexperienced and an outsider to the political terrain will seek to dethrone the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

While much has been said about Rhodes-Vivour not much has been said about his running mate, Princess Abiodun Oyefusi.

Princess Oyefusi who is from a royal home is the daughter of Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Salahudeen Oyefusi.

1. Princess Abiodun Oyefusi has resigned from being a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.

2. Princess Abiodun Islamiat Oyefusi is the daughter of the late Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Salahudeen Oyefusi.

3. She is a law graduate from Aberdeen Law School, and she holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Hull.

4. Princess Islamiat Oyefusi is a Prince2 Project Management Practitioner and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Governance U.K. and Ireland.

5. She has over 25 years of Board and Public Sector experience developing Governance frameworks and Managing multi-million dollar projects. She is currently the Governance Partner for TLGP-Partnetship.

6. Islamiat is an honorary member of West Africa Women Association (WAWA). A strong advocate for women’s equality and right working with various legal NGOs such as Lawyers Without Borders, and serves on boards of various NGOs such as SoulLifters, Global Girl Child Development.

7. She was the 2019 PDP Lagos East Senatorial Candidate.
