Owoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) has called Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party over comments he made about challenging the All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Tinubu following his declaration as president-elect.

Recall that Obi had on Monday, March 13 in an interview on Arise TV said he had no malice against the former Lagos governor and was not interested in challenging the “outcome” of the election but insisted he wants to contest the process leading to INEC’s declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect.

But in his reaction, Sowore via a tweet said: "Their Uncle @officialABAT carried out election heist of the worst order, @peterobi however still loves him as a fatherly figure, so in a rigmarole, he does not believe in challenging the outcome but just wanna challenge the process. This is like saying someone robbed your house and took everything but you’re only gonna challenge the getaway car maker! Because the robber is a beloved uncle! #RevolutionNow"

He wrote in another tweet: "Now, @Peterobi wants to challenge the “process and the outcome,” he’s no longer a “philosopher” after all! His “fatherly figure and Uncle”
@officialABAT is about to be challenged for election heist! They keep playing on the intelligence of the unwary! Hats off to those who could discern all these mind games! #RevolutionNow"

Tinubu was declared as the winner of the election on March 1.

Obi has since gone to court, alleging irregularities by the electoral commission.

Consequently, the Appeal Court granted leave to access all the sensitive materials used for the election.
