'We will go through all legal means to bring a new Nigeria we can be proud of' - Peter Obi assures Obidients

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party has promised to bring a new Nigeria everyone will be proud of as he explains why he is heading to court to contest the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the president-elect.

Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will challenge the processes that made Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect.

"Obidient family is to remain calm. We have no other country except Nigeria. We will go through all legal means to bring a new Nigeria where everyone will be proud to say I am a Nigerian," he said when he appeared as a guest on Arise TV on Monday, March 13.

Recall that the Court of Appeal had on 3 March granted leave to Atiku and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, to inspect documents used by INEC for the conduct of the election.

They had alleged that substantial non-compliance with the Electoral Act 2022 in addition to violence and rigging marred the conduct and outcome of the election.

They, therefore, approached the court for a leave of court to inspect the sensitive materials used for conducting the election.

But on Monday, INEC filed a motion requesting that it be allowed to reconfigure the BVAS machines for the governorship elections to be held on Saturday.
