The Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong, has shared some interesting intentions for his future at U.S. Salernitana 1919.

If his stay in Salerno is lengthened, the former Udinese footballer has admitted he might get another tattoo for his kid Oscar Ekong.

The vice-captain of Nigerian Super Eagles switched on loan from Watford FC to the Italian team in January.

The 29-year-old, still committed to the English Championship team, sent an emotional goodbye letter to the Hornets supporters after returning to the Italian league.

The defender disclosed that his goal was to assist his present squad in keeping them out of the Serie A league’s relegation zone.

The Nigerian has missed a few games after suffering an injury against Hellas Verona, despite having only played three games since making his debut against Lecce in January. Yet according to recent rumours, the former KAA Gent player is recovering fully.

The centre-back has stated his desire to remain with the Italian team longer, as he feels at home in Salerno and is eager to return to action on the field.

“I arrived to help the team, and we’ll also think about the future. If they were to redeem me, I would have a contract, but it doesn’t depend only on me. I have to do my best; I certainly feel very comfortable here,” he said, as quoted by Salernitananews.

Troost-Ekong also disclosed his intentions to have his kid another tattoo if he continues with the squad for an extended period.

“I have a tattoo on my last son; I like them; I have many. If I stay, I’ll get another tattoo,” he added.

Due to his ongoing injury rehabilitation, Jose Peseiro’s selection for their forthcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau may not include the former FC Groningen defender.
