'Alhamdulillah!' - Shettima reacts as Tinubu is declared president-elect

Congratulatory messages have been pouring in for vice president-elect, Kasshim Shettima after his principal was declared winner of the 2023 presidential elections.

Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress was declared the winner of the elections after polling 8,794,726 votes to Atiku Abubakar's 6,984,520 and Peter Obi's 6,101,533.

The presidential election was contested by 18 candidates.

Reacting to the victory of the APC, Shettima shared on his Facebook page: "Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah!! Alhamdulillah!!! We give glory to Allah!"

His post has generated some mixed reactions.

Ibrahim Musa Ndaware wrote: Congratulations, bro. But remember that this is a call for duty and not for amassing wealth that you'll eventually die one day and leave behind for people that didn't work for it while you're being questioned by your maker on how you've acquired them.
