Also assaulted were the Publisher of Upfront news magazine, Princewill Sede and the managing editor, Jeany Metta.

The reporter of TVC, Mr. Joe Kunde and the cameraman, Mr. Miebi Bina were also chased out of the community.

The election which began smoothly with election materials already in place at about 8:35 am, was disrupted when thugs suspected to be supporting the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, started a pandemonium following orders from a high-placed politician at the unit.

Daily Post, gathered that voters were seen conducting themselves in an orderly manner in long queues as INEC officials gave directives until someone from the crowd moved towards the booth to direct an elderly woman to the candidate to vote.

Trouble ensued when the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Micheal Olomu, who was at the unit to vote at the moment, replied telling INEC officials in charge to direct the woman on what to do rather than a third party.
