Hoodlums in Ogun brutalize Ghana's wheelchair tennis team

Some team members sustained facial injuries following the attack

The Ghana Wheelchair Tennis Team has been attacked by hoodlums in Ogun State.

The sad and unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, February 14 around 2 am as bandits attacked the team bus and made away with some valuable items.

According to reports, the bandits smashed the windshield of the vehicle to attack the team and also rob them of their valuable possessions.

Three members of the team sustained facial injuries following the attack and are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

The team was on returning to Ghana after participating in the 2023 ITF World Team Cup Africa Qualifiers.

The tournament took place between February 8 and 12 in Abuja.
