The National Universities Commission, NUC, has directed that all universities in the country should go on break from February 22 to March 14, this year for students to partake in the coming general elections.

A circular to that effect was signed by the Deputy Executive Secretary, Dr Chris Mayaki and sent to all vice chancellors.

The notice also directed all Vice Chancellors and Directors/Chief Executives of inter-University centres to shut down their respective institutions from Wednesday, February 22 to Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

It is expected that other agencies of government and private organisations would follow suit.
