Enyimba should have beaten El Kanemi by four goals - Finidi George

Enyimba head coach Finidi George explained how important it was for his team to get a win against El Kanemi Warriors.

The Elephants defeated Kanemi Warriors 2-0 at the Enyimba Stadium on Sunday evening.

Enyimba wrapped up the game in the first half, with goals from in form striker Emeka Obioma.

It was his second brace in as many games at home for Enyimba this season, taking his season’s tally to four in the process.

“It’s always good to win. In Nigerian league, if you don’t score in the first half, you’ll start seeing delay tactics in the second half or whatever the opponents wants to do inorder to get the result”, Finidi George told the media after the game.

“Today is one of those games where we should have won 3-0, or 4-0 but we didn’t take our chances.

“But I’m happy with the two goals and three, we have to keep motivating the boys," he concluded.

Enyimba remain third on the Group A log with ten points from possible fifteen.
