The MKO Abiola Stadium and Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, will now host Super Eagles home games for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, according to the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Recall that the Super Eagles defeated both Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe to move to the top of Group B with six points from two games.

Nigeria lost against the Black Stars of Ghana in their last game at the Abuja stadium, and as a result, they were eliminated from the 2022 World Cup according to the away goal criteria.

However, with play expected to resume next month, one of the two stadia may serve as the site of a doubleheader match between the Super Eagles and Guinea-Bissau.
