Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the national president of the union, Ayuba Wabba recently clashed over ₦1 billion housing projects.

It was gathered that the chaos occurred at the NLC headquarters on Wednesday, January 18, in Abuja.

In a video making rounds, Wabba and his members were engaged in a fight over a failed housing project that was supposed to belong to them.

According to report, members of the union embarked on a protest to share their concerns on the union failed delivery of the 10,000 housing units at Apo-Tafyi.

The protesting members of the union claimed that the minister of the federal capital territory, Bala Mohammed, in 2014, in collaboration with the leadership of the NLC and a property developer, Good Homes Development Company, planned to develop 680 hectares of land that the federal government had allocated for public servants.

Chairman of the concerned subscribers, Emeka Anuna, was of the view that some of the subscribers, including senior directors from different agencies and ministries received loans to get befitting homes after their public service years.

However, some of the subscribers have passed away, retired while others have been posted out of Abuja without getting their houses 10 years after making payments to the union.
