As we await the final verdict of the Osun state gubernatorial election tribunal, the state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has commenced a seven-day fasting and prayer session.

Report indicates that the fasting and prayer exercise will begin on Friday, January 20 with the aim of seeking God's favour in the final verdict of the election tribunal.

The acting chairman of the Osun state APC, Tajudeen Lawal noted that the fasting and prayer was necessary as they intercede for Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

He said:

“It was necessary for the party to resort to supplications after having effected everything legally allowed at the tribunal for the retrieval of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s stolen mandate in the July 16, 2022 governorship election.”

The acting chairman said that he is confident that God will grant the party victory at the election tribunal.

Lawal also called on APC members to take the fasting and prayers seriously as they pray for good health on behalf of the Governorship candidate..

He also ask party members to pray for the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu as the general election draws near.

“APC members to remember to pray for the success of the presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and other party’s candidates in the February general elections.”
