Nationwide census to begin from March 29 to April 2

The National Population Commission (NPC) has announced that the national population and housing census will begin from March 29 to April 2, 2023.

Chairman of the National Population Commission, Nasir Kwarra said this after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the state house in Abuja.

Kwarra said;

“By March 29 to April 2, our staff will be in the field enumerating people.”

According to the NPC Chairman, the technological tools to be used for the census will be able to code buildings and landmass, detailing information such as location, landscapes.

He also mentioned that non-citizens will be part of the counting since they are in the country.

Kwarra assured Nigerians of a seamless and credible exercise.
