Udeze faults Eto'o decision to back Song over Andre Onana

Former Super Eagles left-back Ifeanyi Udeze slammed Cameroon Football Federation President Samuel Eto’o over the suspension of goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Onana was axed from the Indomitable Lions squad after fallen out with coach Rigobert Song and it was alleged that the player was unhappy with Eto’o’s involvement with the team.

Onana who was in goal for the game against Switzerland stated in a statement on his social media handle, that forced out of the squad and wasn’t allowed to help his teammates.

Reacting to the crisis rocking the team, Udeze faulted the Cameroon Football Federation President, Samuel Eto’o level of involvement in the team.

“Etoo is trying in FECAFOOT but interference is not a good thing. It is too much.

“Eto’o was wrong to interfere in the matter between coach and player. The issue should have been resolved better”, The former Super Eagles defender told BrilaFM.
