'What planet is he living on?'- FFK schools Datti Ahmed on 1980 British politics

Femi Fani-Kayode, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has attacked Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) for his wrong interpretation of the history of Margaret Thatcher and the British Parliament.

This comes Baba-Ahmed said that Margaret Thatcher was PM of the UK in the 1950s. He also said in the video Thatcher was a member of the Labour Party that she was a member of the Labour Party and that she did so much to help the Trade Unions and the welfare state to flourish.

According to Femi Kayode, the account of the former Kaduna North senator is "mind-boggling" and "unbelievable".

In a statement, the former Minister of Aviation wrote: "I really do fear for the Obidients".

Read the statement below

I really do fear for the Obidients

The level of ignorance that they and their leaders suffer from is mind-boggling and unbelievable.

In this video, Dati Ahmed, the Vice Presidential candidate for the Labour Party, claims that Margaret Thatcher was PM of the UK in the 1950s, that she was a member of the Labour Party and that she did so much to help the Trade Unions and the welfare state to flourish.

Can someone please tell Dati that Margaret Thatcher was PM of the UK in the '80s and not the '50's and that she was NOT a member of the Labour Party but rather the leader of the rival Conservative Party?

Can they also tell him that the Trade Unions and the welfare state were both crushed and utterly destroyed by her?

The Trade Unions, led by men like Arthur Scargill at the time, certainly did not flourish under Margaret Thatcher.

On the contrary, she brought them to their knees and took away their power.

She called their bluff, confronted them and broke their backs.

She also effectively destroyed the British welfare state and established a new era of capitalism and the private sector
growth.

Under her the UK flourished and many people were able to benefit from the newly established trade markets and financial boom of the 1980s.

That is when members of the British Middle class flourished the most and the "yuppie" era was established.

Does Dati not know all this?

What planet is he living on???

To think that he owns a university and yet still suffers from such gaps of basic elementary knowledge is incomprehensible.

I fear for these Obidients. I really do.

Their sheer ignorance and baseless arrogance is confounding.

Dati and Peter both need a few lessons in world history.

They need to widen their knowledge base.

I advise them both to go back to school.

As for their supporters, they may well be lost forever.

They are a little better than the motor park tout and area boy that wants to be Governor of Lagos state called Jandor or the little runaway international fugitive called David Hundeyin.

I thought these two were the dumbest of all in this dispensation but Dati is not too far behind them.
