The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima was left stunned after private sector stakeholders in Imo state he was scheduled to address walked out on him.

Recall that MyNigeria reported that APC flagbearer Bola Tinubu, along with Shettima, National leader of the party Abdullahi Adamu, Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi, and other party chieftains, held a town hall meeting with South-East stakeholders in Imo state on Thursday, November 17.

Following the completion of that town hall, Shettima was on schedule to speak to some private business holders in the state but all didn't go as planned as some of the attendees staged a walkout, resulting in a rowdy session.

It is unclear what necessitated the hostile response from the crowd.

Clearly worried, Shettima looked on as Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma joined him on stage.

The viral video has stirred up reactions on social media.

Meanwhile, Uzodimma has said two thousand business owners across the South East have contributed N1 billion to support the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s campaign.

Governor Uzodimma disclosed this yesterday during a Town Hall meeting between Tinubu and business leaders in the South East region.

He said the membership of the group was drawn from the five states of the geopolitical zone.

“I am happy to say our people are fully in support of our presidential candidate who has come to share his vision and plan for Nigeria and South East today. To support this aspiration, the sum of N1billion has been raised by 2,000 business owners across the South East states,” Uzodimma said.
