Arsenal forward, Bukayo Saka has put a smile on the hearts of 120 Nigerian children after sponsoring live-changing surgeries performed in October.

Saka teamed up with the charity BigShoe for the procedure.

According to reports, most of the beneficiaries were from Kano State in the North of Nigeria.

The action of the 21-year-old came as a response to concerns over diseases like inguinal hernias or brain tumours in the West African nation, Daily Mail said.

Speaking on the success of the operations, Saka explained that he was very happy to have helped Nigerian children claiming that he will continue to do so.

Saka said in a statement: "I feel blessed to be in a position where I can contribute to making the children's lives easier and better through these surgeries."

Saka was born in England to Nigerian parents. He will be representing the Three Lions in the World Cup in Qatar.
