The Peoples Redemption Party, (PRP)'s presidential candidate, Kola Abiola has advised electorates against voting for "politicians who come from poisoned trees".

He said this during the National Working Committee of the Peoples Redemption, Party, PRP, at the weekend in Abuja

According to Abiola, during the 2023 elections, Nigerians should give the mandate to rule to new faces and policies, because people who have been in the system for long are already "poisoned" and not good enough to lead the country.

He said, “It is about time we stopped recycling fruits from a poisoned tree.

“A lot of politicians come from a poisoned tree and most people from poisoned tree are recycled.

“We are coming in as fresh people and fresh government.

“And that is what Nigeria needs because they have done it and they have failed.”
