ASUU to call off strike soon - Femi Falana reveals

Lead counsel to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Femi Falana has revealed that the 8 months strike action will end in days.

The senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on Monday, October 10, made this known at a book launch titled “Breaking Coconut with your Head”, written by Lanre Arogundade, in Lagos.

He hinted that the strike will likely be resolved outside the courtroom.

Following an inconclusive agreement, the federal movement filed a lawsuit against ASUU. After much deliberation, the court ordered the union to negotiate outside the court and return to classrooms.

However, the union appealed the judgement at the appellate court in Abuja, but the court of appeal said it won’t entertain the union’s case until it complied with the judgment of the industrial court.
