INEC issues first batch of PVCs today

The first set of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) has been made available by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today.

INEC serves as an independent and effective EMB committed to the conduct of free, fair and credible elections for sustainable democracy in Nigeria.

As of today, qualified voters who registered for their cards between June, 2021 to 15 January 2022, are to go to their Area Council Headquarters to pick them up as they have been made available.

PVCs for individuals whose cards were registered between January 16, 2022, and June 20, 2022, will also be made available this month, October.

Qualified individuals who also registered in July will make up the third batch, which will be distributed in November.

As the PVCs were released today, and several Nigerians and social media users have reacted and expressed joy over it, saying, it is their passport to good governance.

Some said attending party rally or making noise on social media, television or radio would not influence the outcome of the election rather their PVCs was the only method.
