Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has been conferred with an honorary citizenship in the United States.

The former Governor of Anambra State was honoured by the Mayor of Dallas State, Eric Johnson on Tuesday, October 4.

PO, as he is affectionately called by his fanbase disclosed this in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle in the early hours of Wednesday, October 5.

"Today in Dallas Texas United States, I met with the Mayor of Dallas and his team. I had the privilege of being conferred with the honorary citizenship of Dallas. I also met with a select group of Texas Judges.-PO", he wrote on Twitter.
