Nigerians on social media have reacted positively to an act of kindness exhibited by personnel of the police force in Ibadan.

This comes after a social media user shared an experience he had with the three policemen.

According to him, the men who he identified as Officer Tunmise, Officer Daudu and Officer Michael offered to assist fix his flat tyre when he was stuck on the Iseyin-Ibadan highway.

The user who wasn't identified said the men offered to help him after several other motorists declined to help.

Below is a narration of the ordeal as seen on the Facebook page of A New Nigeria

Yesterday, a Nigerian had a flat tyre on Iseyin-Ibadan highway. According to him, he flagged many motorists for help because his jack got spoiled in the process of trying to change the tyre but none of them stopped, understandably.

He has already resigned to fate until these good officers from Dugbe Police station came along. They didn't only stopped, they went out of their way to replaced & fixed the spare tyre.

When they were done, he begged them to take ₦3,000 as a token of appreciation but they rejected his plea. Their response was; "we didn't stopped to assist you because of that, we are only doing our jobs".

The three Officers are: Officer Tunmise, Officer Daudu and Officer Michael of Dugbe police station, Ibadan). May God continue bless them. God bless Nigeria Police.

See how Nigerians are reacting

Ike Tygaba said: God bless DSP Abraham Egbu and his team of Ogwashi-Uku Division that stopped to assist me in the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere along Ughelli-Asaba Expressway, a den of kidnappers.
My car overheated and went off.

When these guys passed and reversed, I melted because I was expecting the danger to befall me. When I saw them with guns, I knew that this is trouble.

Surprisingly, they were friendly, educated me about the dangers of that red zone with forests all around, no human presence. They told me that if they don't assist me, something terrible may likely happen to me. They assisted with water and stayed with me till the car started and we drove off together.
I appreciate them so much.

We have a whole lot of wonderful police officers. May God bless them all!!!

Godwin Sunday Achem commented: If it's the other way round by now Nigerians will call for their sack and the commissioner in charge of that state would want to shine by asking for their head. Now we ask can these ones be giving rapid promotion so as to motivate other servicemen?

Ojaide Vincent said: I got such a similar gesture from a police officer at a checking point at Delta glass ughelli in delta state around 2005. Not all of them are bad. Kudos to them.

Walter Omaghomi commented: This is the new Nigeria we all pray and hope for,may God bless those officers and bless this country with more of such outstanding Police officers in Jesus Name. Amen.

Douglas Michael said: There are still good ones amongst them,Infact they will do better if the federal government will consider a better housing, health and scheme for them and their families, with a raise in their salaries.
