Nigerian boxing enthusiasts have reacted to Tyson Fury's decision to call off the much-anticipated heavyweight fight against Anthony Joshua.

The undefeated British heavyweight boxer announced on Monday, September 26 that his bout against AJ is off the window due to the 32-year-old's failure to meet his self-imposed contract deadline.

In a live Instagram video, the Gypsy King slammed the Nigerian-born British boxer, calling him a coward.

“Well guys, it’s official. D-day has come and gone. It’s gone past five o’clock, Monday. No contract has been signed.

“It’s officially over for Joshua. He is now out in the cold with the wolfpack.

“Forget about it. Idiot. Coward. S***house. Bodybuilder. Always knew it. Always knew you didn’t have the minerals to fight the Gypsy king.

“Regardless of what the f*** you say now, I don’t really care. Good luck with your career, and your life. End of. Peace out.”

Two-time heavyweight champion, Joshua had earlier stated that he will sign the contract for the fight to happen.

Meanwhile, some Nigerians have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the latest development.

Many believe AJ wants to pull out of the fight out of fear while others believe Tyson Fury is using social media gimmicks to pressure Joshua to sign the contract.
