FIFA U17 WWC: Olowookere drums support for Flamingos

Nigeria will kick off its campaign at this year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in just over two weeks and head Coach of the Flamingos, Bankole Olowookere is convince his team will make the Country proud.

Flamingos will prepare in the final days before the commencement of the Competition with a training tour of Turkey where Olowookere will work with the final 21-player squad.

Making a sixth appearance in the World Cup, Nigeria is drawn against Germany New Zealand and Chile.

The Flamingos open the group stage round with a game against Germany on October 11.Olowookere called on the support of Nigerian football fans to show their loyalty to the team.

"We will need the prayers of Nigerians and while they are praying for us, on our part, we’ll do our best not to disappoint them on the field of play."

Flamingos have not gone past the second round (quarter-final) of the U17 Women’s World Cup.
