Nigeria’s Track Queen Blessing Okagbare is through to the semi-final of the 100 meters race at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.

The Three Time National Champions won Heat 6 in the Women’s 100M race which took place in the early hour of Friday.

The Olympics bronze medalist clocked the time of 11.05 seconds to win the race ahead of United Kingdom’s Asha Phillips who finished second in 11.31 seconds and Bahamian star Tynia Gaither who came third in 11.34 seconds

Okagbare has now joined her compatriot, Grace Nwokocha in the semi-final.

Grace Nwokocha qualified for the semi-final in previous heat with the time of 11.00 seconds.

The 11.00 seconds time is the new personal best for Grace Nwokocha who finished third in her heat.

Jamaican star Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce won the heat with 10.84s, while Switzerland’s Ajia Del Fonte finished second second with 10.91s.
