Rivers United boss Stanley Eguma has charged his players to live up to expectations when they face Enyimba in Aba this Sunday.

The Pride of Rivers won the reverse fixture 1-0 at the Amaisimaka stadium in Port-Harcourt, back in May.

Both sides also met in the CAF Confederation Cup final preliminary round earlier in the season, with Enyimba progressing on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate score over the two legs.

Eguma, in a chat with his club’s media department, stated that there is a lot at stake and his players must give their from the blast of the whistle to the end.

“It’s a big game and you know it’s a rival team, rival opponent.

“Enyimba/Rivers United any day anytime is a cracker and it’s a game that both teams know each other very well and pride is at stake.

“So I think not only the 3 points, pride is at stake and we hope we are going to give a good account of ourselves to ensure we don’t drop points in Aba,’ he said.”

Rivers United defeated Plateau United 3-1 on the matchday 30 while Enyimba were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Warri Wolves.
