The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has finally reacted to the death of Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, the founder and leader of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

The umbrella organization containing numerous Christian denominations in Nigeria had faced criticisms from Nigerians, most notably, Chief Dele Momodu for its silence over the death of the famous cleric. They were accused of not mourning him immediately after his demise.

CAN President, Dr. Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, in a condolence message described the late cleric as a foremost Nigerian charismatic pastor, televangelist, and philanthropist who devoted his entire life to the propagation of the gospel and ministering to the needs of the downtrodden.

According to him, the Christian body is particularly pained because the cleric didn’t show traces of illness before passing away.
